As our
Bulk Business Associate Logistics Manager in
Joliet, IL with effective communication and project management skills, you will have the opportunity to have significant impact and gain recognition as you meet high service standards for existing customers and aid our sales force in on-boarding new accounts. Daily you will act as key liaison between customers, sales, logistics, and manufacturing. You will overcome any service delivery issues and maintain and improve alignment of manufacturing and transportation resources to optimize cost and service.
What You Will Do
- Own on-time delivery performance (DIFOT) by coordinating plant loading, carrier execution, and schedule adherence.
- Manage performance and execution of 3rd party manufactures and carriers where necessary.
- Lead daily bulk logistics operations with full accountability for safety compliance, DAR follow-up, and incident prevention. Ensure adherence to EVD and site-specific safety protocols across carriers and drivers.
- Ensure clear, timely communication and visibility across field partners to minimize customer impact.
- Build and manage the weekly execution plan, ensuring alignment with manufacturing output and maximizing route optimization.
- Leverage operational data (DIFOT, returns, utilization, cost) to identify and execute savings opportunities, driving continuous improvement in cost per KG and network efficiency.
- Partner with analytics resources to translate insights into actionable operational improvements and measurable financial impact.
- Support execution of network strategy by aligning daily operations with broader logistics initiatives (capacity, sourcing, service model evolution).
- Identify and escalate structural constraints while contributing to continuous improvement efforts that enhance long-term network performance.
- Monitor and actively manage plant production capacity and loading throughput, ensuring alignment between manufacturing output and logistics execution.
- Proactively address constraints to maximize volume flow, prevent backlog, and protect service and cost performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience
- Ability to collect & analyze financial data; strong metrics & systems orientation; the ability to evaluate cost improvement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or Materials Management
- SAP and/or TMS experience
- 1+ years’ experience with the bulk transport of chemicals
- 1+ years’ customer service or sales experience
- Some experience in logistics or transportation
- Supply Chain experience in vendor negotiation & management & with cross functional teams.
Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range
The base salary range for this position is $96,700.00 - $145,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
