About the Role
The Sales Development Representative, or SDR, is the entry point into Skyline’s sales organization. This position is designed for someone who wants to build a career in sales—not simply fill a job.
As an SDR, you will be the first point of contact in our sales process. You will identify potential customers, connect with decision-makers, qualify accounts, and generate high-quality leads for experienced Sales Representatives.
This is a fast-paced, high-energy, fully in-office position that includes structured training, hands-on mentorship, role-playing, and regular coaching from sales leadership.
Top-performing SDRs will have the opportunity to advance into a Sales Representative role with increased responsibility and earning potential.
What You’ll Do
- Make approximately 75–125 outbound calls per day to prospective healthcare customers
- Conduct outreach to hospitals, surgery centers, dermatology offices, fire departments, cancer centers, pharmacies, and other medical facilities
- Identify decision-makers and uncover potential purchasing needs
- Qualify prospective accounts and pass strong opportunities to experienced Sales Representatives
- Build targeted prospect lists and support business development campaigns
- Conduct discovery calls and schedule follow-up conversations
- Send professional email campaigns and product availability updates
- Follow up consistently to nurture early-stage opportunities
- Collect and document key account information to support deal closures
- Maintain accurate notes, activities, and opportunities within the CRM
- Rotate through different customer types, territories, and outreach campaigns
- Collaborate with sales leadership to improve messaging, objection handling, and overall performance
- Participate in sales training, role-playing, and presentation sessions
- Share customer feedback and market insights with the sales team
Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication skills, including confident speaking, active listening, and the ability to pivot during conversations
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and speaking with new people throughout the day
- Motivated by goals, measurable performance, and continuous improvement
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to remain organized and consistent
- Ability to think creatively, identify opportunities, and contribute ideas to business development efforts
- Excellent written communication and proofreading skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and grammatically accurate email campaigns
- Basic proficiency with CRM systems, sales enablement tools, or prospecting databases
- Ability to maintain accurate customer notes and account information
- Reliable, coachable, and comfortable receiving direct performance feedback
- Ability to work part-time hours on-site at our Fort Lauderdale office
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales Representatives, managers, and other team members
Preferred, but Not Required
- Previous experience in inside sales, lead generation, customer service, cold calling, or outbound outreach
- Experience within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, medical distribution, or a related industry
- Knowledge of or interest in pharmaceutical products and healthcare markets
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
