Your Role at Baxter

As an Operator IV, you will take a lead role in ensuring production processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. You will be responsible for equipment setup, material verification, and overseeing critical production activities while supporting inventory accuracy and team development.
Your Team
Cleveland’s technology and automation is innovative. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices. This facility produces a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly.

What You'll Be Doing
- Must clean and setup resin dryers.
- Must startup and verify readiness of machine and support equipment prior to
- production.
- Must monitor equipment and perform minor adjustments.
- Must have quality checker training to perform and document in-process quality
- Inspections.
- Must verify correctness of material.
- Must supply parts to operation.
- Must perform general housekeeping duties.
- Must complete production release documentation associated with the operation.
- Must stack boxes on pallets.
- Must perform line clearances.
- Must pull parts and stage batches per B.O.M.
- Must post inventory transactions in the Business Enterprise System using scanner for parts transfer.
- Must know how to ship out raw materials and products and complete the transfer documents.
- Must be available to administer training.
- Must be available for end of month inventory process.
- Must have GME access.
- Must replenish PPE and production supplies to the department areas both in and outside the cleanrooms as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Audiometric testing required.
- Hearing protection required.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to read, write, count, use maintenance tools and calculator.
- Must have minor mechanical troubleshooting ability.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to work during plant shutdown and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Must stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- In a Class I Controlled Environment which includes the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning).
- Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise.
- Involves working around equipment, machinery and belts.
- Requires occasionally working with chemical cleaners and disinfectants.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary pay rate of $18.00, plus shift differential for off shifts. The pay rate is based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
