We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and ambitious Senior Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. This role is key to ensuring smooth manufacturing operations. It requires strict adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMPs), good documentation practices (GDPs), environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines, and other relevant regulations. Your leadership will promote efficiency, compliance, and excellence in our operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead a maintenance team, including mechanics and technicians, to support operations in assigned areas.
- Manage the execution of planned maintenance periods and other projects with flawless precision.
- Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, maintenance documentation, training, quality standards, 6S, and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive and equitable working environment, emphasizing the Baxter Cultural Levers.
- Maintain the department's safety and quality commitments; make well-informed choices to support these priorities.
- Allocate resources efficiently to increase efficiency and achieve operational goals.
- Identify, prioritize, and provide resources to meet the annual operational plan and budgetary commitments.
- Facilitate, verify, and conduct training for employees in GMP, troubleshooting, maintenance skills, and safety.
- Ensure adherence to all GMP rules, specifications, SOPs, and FDA requirements.
- Support Talent Management goals by providing feedback, recognizing achievements, and coordinating disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Submit, maintain, and distribute reports related to attendance, labor, maintenance metrics, safety, and other relevant data.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment using 6S principles.
- Apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs, and current GMP in daily operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven communication, administrative, and technical leadership abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong assessment and troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, and process) with proven experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and solid understanding of maintenance systems, including preventive maintenance and CMMS.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and safety guidelines applicable to the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout and other Safety Programs.
- Ability to analyze and resolve equipment and process-related issues.
- Capable of responding to detailed inquiries and presenting information to groups and department management.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
- Skilled in interpreting verbal and written safety and quality guidelines, including reading and understanding written work instructions and drawings.
- Basic English written and oral communication skills adequate for effective team collaboration.
Required Qualifications/Certifications
- AAS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of industrial maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
- CMRP certification
- Experience in a pharmaceutical facility

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
