What You’ll Do
Primary Impact: Enable predictable, high‑quality software and system releases by aligning cross‑functional teams, optimizing release processes, and driving execution across the full release lifecycle.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, You Will
- Drive release strategy and execution across cloud‑based and on‑premise platforms, managing integrated schedules, milestones, and dependencies using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Define, maintain, and communicate release plans that align with product roadmaps, engineering priorities, and business objectives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Lead cross‑functional programs from design through delivery by securing alignment on technical approaches, timelines, and resourcing across Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations.
- Coordinate across Omnicell functions, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Customer Operations, to ensure end‑to‑end readiness and execution.
- Anticipate risks and dependencies, proactively identifying issues that may impact scope, schedule, or quality; develop and drive recovery plans when needed.
- Partner with Change Management and Quality teams to ensure releases are controlled, compliant, and auditable.
- Identify and manage release risks and blockers, working closely with Product, QA, and Engineering to drive timely resolution.
- Ensure alignment with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, enabling reliable, repeatable, and efficient deployments.
- Drive release readiness, coordinating with Product, Marketing, and Customer Operations to ensure documentation, training, and communications are complete.
- Continuously improve release processes, tooling, and automation through retrospectives, metrics, and data‑driven insights.
- Provide clear, executive‑level communication, translating complex program status into actionable insights for Product and Engineering leadership.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, business, or finance (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management.
- 10+ years of experience across program, project, product, or software development roles.
- Strong foundation in Agile development methodologies and SDLC practices.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross‑functional programs in ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, influence without authority, and manage diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms and large‑scale, multi‑system releases.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release automation.
- Familiarity with hybrid, cloud‑based, and on‑premise infrastructure environments.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and workflow visualization tools (e.g., Lucidchart).
- Experience supporting hardware‑integrated or regulated system releases.
- Project or Program Management certification (PMP, PgMP, CPM, DAU, or similar).
