About the role.
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, qualification, maintenance, and servicing of laboratory, life science, and cleanroom equipment across our client base.
This role involves working with equipment such as biosafety cabinets, laminar flow units, fume hoods, incubators, and ultra-low temperature freezers, ensuring optimal performance, regulatory compliance, and reliable technical support.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, commission, and qualify laboratory equipment at client sites
• Perform IQ/OQ testing and verify airflow performance, HEPA filter integrity, and system functionality
• Conduct airflow testing, smoke studies, particle counts, and equipment calibration
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system faults
• Replace components such as filters, fans, sensors, UV lamps, and control boards
• Provide technical support and training to end users on equipment operation and care
• Complete service reports, qualification documentation, and calibration certificates
• Ensure all work complies with GMP, GLP, and biosafety standards
Requirements
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical field
• Experience servicing laboratory, life science, or cleanroom equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Advantageous:
• Experience with biosafety cabinets, containment systems, or cleanroom validation
• Experience performing IQ/OQ, HEPA testing, or equipment calibration
