PROCESS OPERATOR (SBM)
Position Summary:Key Responsibilities:- Operate SBM machines in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and adjust critical process parameters (e.g., temperature profiles, air pressure, cycle times) to ensure product quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine in-process quality checks, including hourly bottle measurements, to verify conformance to specifications and document results as required.
- Analyze process deviations and apply root cause analysis techniques to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, mold changes and basic mechanical repairs to support equipment reliability and performance.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify wear, misalignment, or other conditions that could impact safety or production.
- Troubleshoot and operate downstream equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production flow.
- Communicate effectively with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams regarding process performance, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain work areas in compliance with 5S and lean manufacturing standards.
- Comply with all plant, corporate, and regulatory safety policies, including lockout/tagout and hazard communication requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, scrap reduction, and workplace safety.
Required Skills/Abilities:- Working knowledge of blow molding processes, injection molding processes, plastics manufacturing, or similar industrial equipment.
- Understanding of process control concepts and the cause-and-effect relationships of machine parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and basic mechanical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform structured root cause analysis.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Basic mathematical proficiency, including measurement and data interpretation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push or move up to 200 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- $33.10/hr - 34.30/hr
$2.00/hr shift diff for off shift
12/hr nights 7pm - 7am (2-2-3 schedule)**
