Accounting Manager
Reports to: Assistant Controller
Classification: Exempt
SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is responsible for owning the general ledger, month-end close process, and core accounting operations for the company. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting while supporting a growing, PE-backed organization with bank covenant reporting and annual external audits.
The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller and VP Finance to maintain strong internal controls, coordinate audit activities, and continuously improve accounting processes as the company scales.
Annual Salary Range $100k - $110k
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Operations
•Own execution and continuous improvement of the month-end close process
•Maintain general ledger integrity and accuracy
•Ensure balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled, supported, and reviewed each month
•Oversee accounting for:
* intercompany transactions
* fixed assets
* insurance allocations
* accruals and prepaid expenses
•Manage and review cash reporting and treasury reconciliations
•Ensure proper accounting treatment for operational transactions
•Work within the company’s accounting and operational systems (Dynamics 365, Ramp, and other tools) to maintain financial data accuracy
•Collaborate with internal analytics and automation teams to streamline and automate financial reporting workflows
•Support accounting for acquisitions and integration of newly acquired entities as needed
Financial Reporting & Audit
•Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for the annual external audit
•Assist the Controller in preparation of financial statements and investor reporting packages
•Assist in bank covenant reporting and lender compliance
•Maintain documentation supporting GAAP compliance
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
•Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls
•Improve documentation of accounting procedures and close processes
•Support segregation of duties and audit readiness
•Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency and automation
Team Collaboration
•Collaborate with and help oversee transactional accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing operations
•Support the Controller in building scalable accounting processes
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
•4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience owning or leading key components of the month-end close process
•Public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 or regional firm)
•CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred
•Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
•Ability to communicate effectively with management and other departments
•High attention to detail and financial accuracy
•Systems mindset with interest in leveraging technology and automation tools (including emerging AI capabilities) to improve accounting efficiency
•Experience improving accounting processes in a growing organization preferred
•Experience working in a high-growth or PE-backed environment preferred
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
•Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
•Additional hours as job duties demand
TRAVEL - OTHER
•Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
•Must have a current, valid driver's license
•Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
