A part-time school psychologist position is available in Warren, MI, offering approximately 20 hours per week. This flexible role can be scheduled either as half days Monday through Friday or concentrated into 2.5 full days per week. The position is based at a center program designed to support students aged 3 to 26 from across the county who meet specific eligibility criteria, including MoCI, SCI, and SXI.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive re-evaluations for students within the centers program.
- Collaborate with a dedicated two-person school psychologist team to provide consistent and effective support.
- Utilize specialized knowledge to assess cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Assist in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure proper documentation.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to educators, families, and other support staff to promote student success.
Qualifications And Experience
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with a diverse student population, particularly those with MoCI, SCI, and SXI eligibility.
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a teammate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
