A part-time opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide virtual tutoring services via telehealth. This position involves delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of one student in a remote learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for the assigned student
- Provide specialized instruction and support through telehealth platforms
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet evolving needs
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, student progress, and communications
Qualifications
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience delivering instruction in a virtual or telehealth setting preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs and best practices in special education
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and professionals
- Ability to maintain flexibility in scheduling and adapt to student needs
Location: Virtual role originating from the Schenectady, NY area.
Schedule
- Part-time, 10 hours per week
- Approximately 2 hours per day with flexible scheduling options available and discussable during the interview process
