Located in Issaquah, WA, this full-time Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) contract position offers a unique opportunity to support secondary students in a public school setting through June 17, 2026. The role provides a balanced schedule, blending in-person service delivery with specialized homebound instruction.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing SLP services primarily to middle school students, with approximately 725 minutes served monthly Tuesday through Friday.
- Delivering dedicated support to homebound students on Mondays, working closely with assistive technology such as AAC devices and eye gaze communication systems.
- Managing a caseload that includes four homebound students spanning elementary and secondary levels.
- Collaborating with faculty and staff to develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans.
- Participating in an overlap period with the current SLP to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care.
Desired Qualifications And Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with secondary students and familiarity with homebound education services.
- Proficiency in assistive communication technologies, including AAC devices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads and coordinate with educational teams.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday starting at 8:30 AM).
