A full-time opportunity is available in the Northern Denver suburbs for a School Psychologist or Social Worker to support a smaller district serving approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites. This role is based at Trailside Academy, serving Pre-K through 8th grade students, primarily working with a caseload of about 20 mild to moderate students, including some Pre-K.
Key responsibilities include delivering counseling services, conducting assessments and evaluations, and collaborating closely with IEP teams to address student needs. The professional in this role will serve as the case manager for their assigned students, overseeing all aspects of the students Individualized Education Program (IEP). Monthly IEP minutes are required to document and track progress.
Candidates should have either the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credential or be in the process of obtaining it. Familiarity and readiness to take on case management duties as a primary responsibility is essential.
The district uses a two-step interview process: a 15-30 minute screening call with the Director of Integrated Services via Teams, followed by a 30-45 minute panel interview that is ideally conducted in person, though virtual attendance is flexible. Travel candidates are welcome but must provide updates on their relocation and credentialing status when applying. Hybrid or VOCO arrangements are not accepted.
