A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a school setting in Mooresville, NC, starting April 1, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with potential continuation into the next school year (NSY 26/27). This role requires onsite presence Monday through Friday, working 35 hours per week from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
The position supports a caseload primarily at Troutman Elementary with a ratio of 1.1. Qualified candidates must hold a valid Sign Language Interpreter license with an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher. Alternatively, interpreters with Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification are also eligible. This role strictly requires onsite workno remote or VOCO interpreting is allowed. The interpreter must arrive before the student each day and be fully prepared for instruction.
Key Qualifications
