The Information Analyst is an entry-level data management role in a collaborative team environment driven to launch a career in commercial excellence, finance, information services, supply chain and other business fields. This role plays an integral part in the company by governing ERP data and transaction processes to better serve customers and to operate the business. The primary focus of the team is business support, setting and governing data requirements and training all ERP users in best practice. The Data Management team is involved in key implementation and innovations projects as well as cross department collaboration and process improvement changes.
This role handles data validation and creation for all new customers, material skus, and pricing for 70+ manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. These facilities span our rigid manufacturing, pharmaceutical and recycling business units providing a wide range of challenges and industry specific needs. This person will have regular communication with assigned plant locations, acting as an internal Help Desk to coach operations associates on transactional processes and audit data.
Essential Functions- Roles/Responsibilities
- Ensure business units report revenue each day by supporting transactional processes through troubleshooting, problem-solving issues and data creation.
- Train and mentor plant operational associates with ERP transactional processes and Altium best practices.
- Assist plants daily with but not limited to data validation and financial reporting through order entry, system crediting, purchasing, plant production and inventory maintenance.
- Team with other associates on high-level projects including company acquisitions, process improvement implementations and ERP development testing.
- Partner with plant accounting and other departments with problem solving, financial record keeping and other improvement plans.
- Partner with Information Services to build and manage AI capabilities focused on user support as well as agentic task-oriented solutions.
- Conduct scheduled internal audits to ensure ERP data accuracy and business compliance.
- Utilize business objects to create, generate and analyze data through the reporting tool.
- Validate transactional data for accuracy and ensure company policies and best practices are being followed.
- Manage the company address book data such as the bill to/ship to relationships, business unit assignments, salesperson codes, pricing category codes, and other contractual terms.
- Create item sku bill of material data such as raw materials, base bottles, finished goods, unit of measure conversions, and item cross-references.
- Run cost simulations and validate figures to freeze standard costs.
- Validate pricing information, including new price origin, obtain appropriate approval on price decreases, and adjust pricing based on resin price changes.
- Assist with the introduction of robotic automation in data entry to speed entry and create higher accuracy.
- Implement preventative maintenance work orders through asset controls.
- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Services, Supply Chain or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include Intermediate Excel
- Proven ability to pay attention to details, variances and skilled problem solver
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize tasks and effectively manage time across various daily responsibilities with short- and long-term goals
- Experience in a role that works with numbers and large data sets
Preferred Education And Experience
- Experience with JD Edwards or an ERP system
- Experience with Microsoft Web (SharePoint and OneDrive)
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Robotics Automation (UiPath) or similar software
- Experience in a role that requires communicating with internal and/or external customers
- Experience in the manufacturing or industrial products industry to include customer service, supply chain, pricing, accounting, or a similar role
