Our people make all the difference in our success. Summary: In this role, you will oversee contract management and lead RFP initiatives for designated Food categories within the healthcare portfolio. You will develop and execute category strategies, negotiate agreements, and drive marketing and implementation plans that deliver value to clients and suppliers. You will serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging market insights and industry trends to optimize portfolio performance, strengthen supplier relationships, and support revenue growth. Responsibilities:
- Lead contract management and RFP initiatives for designated Food categories.
- Develop strategic approaches to RFP development, negotiation planning, marketing strategies, and agreement implementation.
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to inform category strategy and portfolio optimization.
- Provide subject matter expertise to clients, suppliers, field teams, advisory solutions, legal, finance, and other stakeholders.
- Deliver presentations to clients highlighting category insights, market dynamics, and value opportunities.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure satisfaction and effective issue resolution.
- Partner with marketing to design and execute category-specific marketing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Create collateral and communications that share category insights, expertise, and best practices with internal and external audiences.
- Facilitate business reviews and strategic planning sessions with suppliers to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and revenue plans to measure contract performance and identify portfolio gaps. Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in category management, sourcing, contract negotiation, or supply chain within healthcare preferred.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret market data and performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering client-facing presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools preferred.
- Willingness to travel. Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
