About The Role
Morris & Dickson is seeking an Automation & Controls Technician to support both our warehouse automation systems and Coldtainer temperature-controlled equipment used in our distribution operations.
This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated warehouse systems and temperature-controlled equipment to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and protect product integrity in our pharmaceutical distribution environment.
What You'll Do
Automation & Warehouse Systems
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on conveyors, robotics, sortation systems, and other automated equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace components to ensure optimal system performance
- Support system upgrades and improvements in collaboration with engineering and technology teams
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment history
Cold Chain Equipment (Coldtainer Units)
- Inspect and maintain Coldtainer temperature-controlled units used in the distribution center and delivery vehicles
- Troubleshoot electrical components, sensors, switches, and charging systems
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Coordinate vendor repairs when needed and ensure equipment remains operational
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements
- Ensure all maintenance work meets safety, operational, and quality standards

- You keep our automation systems running reliably, quickly diagnosing and repairing issues to minimize downtime and keep operations moving.
- You take a proactive approach to maintenance, spotting potential problems early and helping improve equipment performance and reliability.
- You work safely and collaboratively, partnering with operations and engineering teams while following safety standards and best practices.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience maintaining automated systems, industrial equipment, refrigeration systems, or electrical equipment
- Ability to read technical schematics and equipment manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience using electrical diagnostic tools such as multimeters
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs, sensors, actuators, or automation controls
- Technical certification or vocational training in automation, electrical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems
Schedule
- 1st Shift (M-F daytime hours, 7am-5pm)

26 - 30 USD per hour(2 - Distribution Center)
