Division Summary:
The Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division (CSD) is leading the global democratization of next-generation sequencing (NGS) to accelerate translational research and positive clinical outcomes. The division is positioned around three core pillars: oncology, reproductive health, and custom menu services. With easily adoptable end-to-end Ion Torrent sequencing technologies at the center of each pillar, we are driving NGS adoption where customers value rapid turnaround time, targeted menus, end-to-end workflow solutions, and actionable insights.
Position Summary
In this role, you will lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for the Clinical NGS portfolio supporting life sciences research and regulated in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), including companion diagnostics (CDx). You will partner across Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, R&D, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure supply continuity, strengthen planning and inventory performance, and enable reliable customer delivery across a global network.
You will build and develop a high-performing team, establish a clear operating cadence, and improve the tools, data, and processes needed to make timely, fact-based decisions. - Strengthen supply continuity and reduce supply risk across internal and external partners through proactive risk identification, scenario planning, and cross-functional mitigation plans.
- Expand digital supply chain capabilities by partnering with IT, Data Analytics, and cross-functional teams to implement scalable tools and automation that improve forecasting accuracy, inventory decisions, supply risk visibility, and end-to-end performance management.
- Define inventory policies and planning parameters that balance customer delivery and working capital; reduce excess and obsolete inventory through disciplined planning and lifecycle controls.
- Partner with Global Manufacturing sites, Procurement, and Logistics to improve plan stability, lead times, and service performance across the end-to-end network.
- Support NPI supply readiness, including materials strategy, supplier readiness, planning setup, and effective transitions to routine production.
- Improve planning systems, data quality, and reporting by partnering with IT and analytics teams to enable clear visibility, consistent metrics, and strong data integrity within ERP/MRP and planning tools.
- Lead continuous improvement using Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and structured problem solving; standardize processes and coach teams on consistent ways of working.
- Develop and lead a global team of direct and matrixed resources; set clear expectations, build capability, and foster an inclusive and engaged culture.
- Communicate performance, risks, and mitigation plans in clear business terms to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485 expectations, and support internal and external audits as needed.
