About the Role
Rx relief is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians to join a high-volume 503A compounding pharmacy near Plano, TX. Technicians will assist pharmacists in preparing non-sterile medications.
This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, non-sterile compounding experience, and an interest in long-term pharmacy growth opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
• Prepare and compound non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations according to established protocols and safety guidelines
• Accurately measure, mix, and package medications under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain detailed records of all compounding activities and batch preparations
• Label medications with appropriate information including dosage, patient name, and administration instructions
• Stock and organize pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper rotation and storage conditions
• Perform quality control checks on compounded medications to ensure accuracy and safety
• Clean and sanitize compounding equipment and work areas regularly
• Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and order fulfillment
• Receive and verify incoming medication orders and supplies
• Handle medication returns and recalls according to established procedures
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy team members to ensure smooth workflow
• Follow all regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws
Requirements
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration (required)
- 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience (non-sterile compounding)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Experience
- Previous 503A or compounding experience
