About the Role
Rx relief is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Non-Sterile Compound Pharmacist to support a high-volume 503A compounding pharmacy near Plano, TX for multiple positions.
Primary Responsibilities
• Dispense non-sterile medications accurately according to prescriptions and verify dosages
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
• Review prescription orders for appropriateness and therapeutic effectiveness
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
• Maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation
• Perform medication therapy management and comprehensive medication reviews
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and standards
• Monitor inventory levels and order medications as needed
• Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues
• Provide immunizations and health screenings as permitted by state regulations
• Educate patients on disease state management and wellness programs
• Participate in quality assurance activities and medication error prevention initiatives
Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license in Texas
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
- Experience with non-sterile compounding
- Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions for overnight position
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a high-volume or mail-order pharmacy
