A certified Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide essential IEP-mandated services to students aged 12 to 21 in a school setting located in Brooklyn, NY. This contract position offers a part-time schedule of 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., running from March 1, 2026, through June 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted speech-language therapy in accordance with individualized education program (IEP) requirements.
- Work effectively with students exhibiting resistance to therapy, utilizing specialized techniques to engage and support progress.
- Serve students across a range of grade levels, specifically grades 6 through 12.
- Implement therapeutic interventions for diverse communication needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Demonstrated experience working with resistant youth in educational settings.
- Ability to work with a student population spanning grades 6-12 with complex communication needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage students and multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to provide services through teletherapy, hybrid models, or in-person sessions.
