This travel opportunity in Cicero, IL, offers a Monday through Friday day shift with a consistent 4x10-hour schedule, supporting a new PET service line performing about 3-4 scans daily. The role requires a dedicated technologist skilled in PET procedures, radiation safety, and radiopharmaceutical preparation, working closely under a Board-Certified Radiologists supervision.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine and PET procedures with accuracy and adherence to radiation safety protocols
- Assess patients prior to imaging procedures, ensuring safe and effective care
- Prepare and handle radiopharmaceuticals, following strict storage and disposal guidelines
- Utilize GE imaging equipment for PET scans; familiarity with Siemens equipment is a plus
- Document care and communicate effectively using EPIC, SBAR, and support interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response
- Maintain peripheral IV access and implement isolation precautions as needed
Qualifications And Experience
- Minimum 3 years of PET experience required
- Certification credentials: BLS, CNMT, ARRT or NMTCB, plus Illinois State License
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program
- Experience in adult hospital settings with procedures including HIDA and PET scans, isolation precautions, and radiopharmaceutical handling
- Preferred skills: familiarity with gastric emptying, MUGA, bone scans, liver imaging, and SPECT techniques
Schedule and Work Conditions
- MondayFriday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (4x10-hour shifts)
- No on-call requirements
- Scrubs required (any color, no patterns or logos)
