JOB SUMMARY:
As an Event and Partnership Manager within the Strategic Sourcing team, you will report directly to the Strategic Sourcing Associate Director for Travel, Expenses, and Events. In this role, you will lead mid‑ to high‑complexity strategic sourcing projects that support corporate travel, entertainment, and events. You will partner closely with the Global Event Management team, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to deliver competitive, value driven sourcing outcomes. Leveraging industry best practices and understanding of market dynamics, you will help ensure high quality sourcing strategies that meet business needs and drive operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage end‑to‑end sourcing for event venues, hotels, and related supplier categories, from requirements gathering through contract award.
- Manage the RFP process including development, issuance, proposal evaluation, vendor meetings, and recommendation of finalists.
- Conduct cost, risk, and value analysis to drive negotiation strategies and deliver measurable savings and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive benchmarks, industry innovations, and sourcing best practices.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance and support ongoing supplier relationship management.
- Assist with coordinating site inspection logistics in partnership with event and hotel teams, ensuring key details are aligned.
- Serve as a trusted sourcing advisor to the Global Event Management team, ensuring sourcing strategies align with event objectives.
- Be a trusted partner with hotels, internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant with legal and organizational standards.
- Negotiate commercial terms, concessions, service levels, and cancellation provisions that minimize financial risk.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams, including Legal, Risk and Global Event Management to manage contract reviews and maintain accurate document versions.
- Present sourcing recommendations, insights, and outcomes to stakeholders, including the Global Event Management team.
- Prepare summaries, presentations, and sourcing reports detailing supplier options, financial impacts, and strategic recommendations.
- Independently manage multiple sourcing projects while meeting deadlines and service expectations.
- Support and contribute to ongoing Travel, Expense & Events sourcing strategy initiatives.
- Complete close‑out activities, including documenting negotiated savings, updating event status, setting key reminders, and transitioning awarded hotels to Global Event Management as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, hotel or venue sourcing, the travel industry, or corporate events.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and critical reasoning skills.
- Demonstrated success in relationship‑building and effective collaboration within teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and engage effectively with senior‑level stakeholders
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- High degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Cvent.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms and related tools.

Compensation:
$71,300.00 - $124,500.00 USD
This role is eligible for Bonus.
Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
