This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Setting 4, working with K-12 students who exhibit the highest behavioral challenges and most severe disabilities. The position is based in Coon Rapids, MN, and requires candidates to be comfortable with the setting and commute.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with severe disabilities and significant behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including support staff and families, to ensure holistic support
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student behavior and educational performance
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with Tier 3 or 4 Special Education certification
- Experience working with Setting 4 students or similar high-need populations
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Commitment to working from February 9, 2026, through June 5, 2026
