Job Description
The Sr. Director, Compliance & Ethics - Technology, Data, and Research (“Sr. Director”) will be responsible for managing the compliance and ethics program for McKesson’s Innovation and Technology businesses within McKesson’s Oncology & Multispecialty organization comprised of Ontada, Genospace and Compile. She/He will report directly to McKesson’s Vice President, Compliance & Ethics, Technology, Data, and Research within McKesson’s General Counsel Organization.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing a compliance program for a health care technology and/or life sciences organization, with a strong background in compliance or audit. She/he will have broad familiarity with the laws and regulations governing the activities of health care technology, health care providers, pharmacies, and life science companies. A strong executive presence and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with large stakeholder teams in a highly matrixed environment is critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure programmatic alignment with the Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program.
- Lead, coach, and develop compliance professionals, promoting collaboration, critical thinking, and operational excellence with direct report(s) and staff.
- Lead investigations ensuring prompt documentation, triage, root‑cause analysis, resolutions, and remediation
- Ensure I&T operates in accordance with internal policies and procedures and relevant federal and state laws and regulations, with a focus on technology and life sciences areas.
- Apply a working knowledge and understanding of requirements and risks associated with Anti‑Kickback Statute (AKS), False Claims Act (FCA), Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA), and 21st Century Cures Act (data interoperability and information blocking)
- Provide solutions-oriented and strategic advice to management related to daily operational activities including reports, dashboards, and risk assessments
- Provide guidance and oversight in preparation for and during audits by governmental agencies, customers or other third parties including Internal Audit.
- Manage the annual and ongoing Compliance risk assessment and workplan processes including monitoring and auditing workplans.
- In close coordination with the Quality team, assist with development and implementation of corrective action plans in response to findings from audits, monitoring activities, and incidents.
- Partner on internal and external communications to partners and customers on compliance-related matters.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs including specialized curricula for Ontada Learn, technology, and commercial teams.
- Build, operationalize, and continuously improve auditing and monitoring programs, including risk‑based testing, issue tracking, corrective action follow‑up, and business partner monitoring
- Partner and collaborate with internal teams and personnel, including McKesson’s Cybersecurity, Data Governance, and Risk Management teams, the Global Privacy Office, Legal, Internal Audit, Quality Operations as well as cross-Business Unit collaboration

Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years’ progressive compliance experience with a health or related company
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Preference given to candidates with healthcare technology and/or life sciences experience and any of the HCCA, IAPP, or applicable certifications.
Education
- Undergraduate/Bachelor degree (REQUIRED)
Minimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination
- Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience)
