Summary
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Compounding Pharmacy Specialist (Pharmacy Technician) to join our in-person Scottsdale team. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our Scottsdale office.
This non-legal role focuses on supporting compounding pharmacies with regulatory readiness, USP compliance, inspection preparation, and operational best practices. The position works closely with our pharmacy law attorneys and directly with 503A and 503B clients nationwide.
This is a hands-on, compliance-focused role requiring real-world compounding experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with VPP and Board of Pharmacy inspection preparation
- Evaluate and advise on adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
- Draft and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compounding operations
- Conduct regulatory gap assessments and mock inspections
- Support responses to inspection findings and corrective action plans
- Provide operational and regulatory guidance to attorneys and pharmacy clients
Qualifications
- Active CPhT certification (any U.S. state) required
- Active CSPT certification highly preferred
- Direct hands-on experience in sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
- Strong working knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>
- Experience with Board of Pharmacy or VPP inspections preferred
- Experience with 503A and/or 503B facilities strongly preferred
- Strong writing skills, particularly for SOP drafting
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple client matters simultaneously
Compensation
$75,000 – $110,000, depending on experience
Benefits & Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site in Scottsdale, AZ. Some work outside regular business hours and some travel may be required.
