Position Summary
The Security Team Member is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors. This position safeguards company property, monitors access control systems, enforces site security policies, and responds to security incidents or emergencies in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Access Control & Monitoring
- Monitor facility entrances, exits, and perimeter for unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Verify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials and issue badges as required.
- Manage vehicle entry and ensure compliance with site security requirements.
- Operate surveillance systems (CCTV) and alarm panels to maintain situational awareness.
Incident Response & Reporting
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or security breaches.
- Document all incidents, irregularities, and suspicious activities in daily security logs and property damage.
- Notify appropriate management or emergency personnel as needed.
- Participate in investigations and provide accurate reports and witness statements.
Safety & Emergency Support
- Assist during emergency evacuations, fire alarms, spills, or medical emergencies.
- Support enforcement of company safety policies (PPE, restricted areas, smoking zones, etc.).
- Conduct regular security and safety patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
Customer Service & Representation
- Greet employees, visitors, and contractors professionally, projecting a calm and confident demeanor.
- Provide directions and general assistance while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Uphold company values, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
Administrative & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of shift activity, incident reports, and visitor logs.
- Participate in training, drills, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in enforcing site access protocols in compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required; security certification (e.g., State Guard Card) preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, observation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Familiarity with security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control software).
- Ability to write clear and concise incident reports.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email, logging systems).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and respond quickly in emergencies.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.

Pay Rate Range
18 - 19.22 USD hourly
