Job Summary
The Americas Talent Acquisition Director reports to the Americas Human Resources Vice President and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that attracts, recruits, and onboards competent talent to support Bureau Veritas's sustainable growth across North, Central, & South America. This role ensures that acquisition initiatives align with overall organizational talent management strategy and support both short and long-term business objectives.
The position requires strategic vision combined with hands-on execution capability, enabling the role holder to influence across a complex organization while building credible relationships with senior business leaders and HR professionals across diverse cultural and regulatory environments, including Spanish-speaking markets throughout Central & South America.
This role is Houston based with a hybrid work arrangement requiring three (3) days per week in-office presence to support collaboration with Americas leadership and regional teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational objectives across all geographies and business units with particular focus on North, Central, & South American regional requirements.
- Design and oversee recruitment policies, processes, and sourcing methodologies to optimize outcomes and candidate experience while ensuring compliance with country-specific labor laws and cultural considerations across the Americas.
- Establish and monitor key recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, offer acceptance rates, diversity metrics) and continuously improve processes based on data and benchmarks.
- Lead talent acquisition systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS) to ensure efficient, scalable recruitment operations.
- Develop multi-channel sourcing strategies and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated organizational needs.
- Manage executive search and specialized recruitment initiatives for critical positions.
Recruitment Execution & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Oversee recruitment team execution including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders across Product Service Lines, Corporate Shared Services, and regions to understand talent needs and drive recruitment success.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on talent acquisition initiatives, market trends, and competitive talent landscape with expertise in North, Central, & South American regional talent markets.

- Develop and implement recruiting best practices including employer branding, candidate sourcing strategies, and recruitment marketing initiatives tailored to regional and cultural contexts.
- Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives within talent acquisition to build a diverse workforce.
- Manage recruitment budgets and vendor relationships including external recruiters and search firms.
Team Leadership
- Lead and coach the Talent Acquisition team supporting North, Central, & South American operations.
- Establish team goals, performance expectations, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a high-performing recruitment team culture focused on quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and equal employment opportunity requirements in all recruitment activities across multiple jurisdictions throughout North, Central, & South America.

Education, Certifications & Experience
- 10+ years of talent acquisition and recruitment expertise with demonstrated thought leadership
- 5+ years of direct experience in talent acquisition leadership (recruiting, sourcing, recruitment operations, or talent management)
- Deep understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing methodologies, and candidate assessment techniques
- Strong knowledge of talent market dynamics and industry-specific recruitment challenges across Americas regions
- Full proficiency in English across reading, writing and speaking
- Experience with executive recruitment and building talent pipelines
- Expertise in diversity and inclusion recruiting strategies
- Experience recruiting across multiple countries in the Americas
Preferred
- Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, PHR)
- Proficiency in professional, conversational Spanish for business communications
- Experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms
- Experience working in or recruiting for operations across the Americas
- Familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations across the Americas
- Executive recruitment or specialized recruitment experience
- Experience in professional services, engineering, or inspection/certification industry
Physical & Environmental Conditions
- Fast-paced environment with little structure at times, days over 8 hours
- The job generally maintains normal business operating hours, sometimes long day
- Role is Hybrid - remote from home and some office time required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English for operational directions
- Ability to work in standard office environment with occasional travel to regional offices and recruitment events
- Flexibility to adjust work schedules to accommodate recruitment activities and business needs
Travel Requirements
- Limited travel – less than 15%- 20% not including commuting to office.
- Travel will include regional offices across North, Central, & South America.
- Some travel could be international so a passport will be necessary.
