Talent Acquisition Director - Americas
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Americas Talent Acquisition Director to lead and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy across North, Central, and South America. Reporting to the Americas Vice President of Human Resources, this role is responsible for building scalable recruiting capabilities that support both near-term hiring needs and long-term organizational growth.
The successful candidate will bring strategic vision and hands-on leadership, with the ability to influence across a complex, matrixed organization. This role partners closely with senior business leaders and HR teams to deliver high-quality talent solutions across diverse cultural, regulatory, and labor market environments, including Spanish-speaking regions throughout Central and South America.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Develop and implement a region-wide talent acquisition strategy aligned with business and workforce planning objectives across the North, Central & South America
- Establish recruitment policies, processes, and sourcing methodologies that drive efficiency, quality, and compliance
- Define and monitor key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance, and diversity outcomes
- Lead the optimization and governance of applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies
- Build proactive talent pipelines to support current and future business needs
- Oversee executive search and specialized recruiting initiatives for critical roles
Stakeholder Partnership & Execution
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders across business lines and regions to understand talent needs and deliver effective hiring outcomes
- Provide guidance to leadership on labor market trends, competitive intelligence, and recruitment best practices across the Americas
- Lead employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives tailored to regional and cultural considerations
- Manage recruitment budgets and external vendor relationships, including search firms and recruitment partners
- Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives through inclusive hiring practices
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and coach the Talent Acquisition team supporting operations across the Americas
- Set performance expectations, goals, and development plans for team members
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and equal employment opportunity requirements across all jurisdictions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- 10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience recruiting across multiple countries within the Americas
- Strong expertise in recruitment strategy, sourcing methodologies, and candidate assessment
- Experience leading executive-level and specialized recruitment
- Proficiency in recruitment metrics, analytics, and ATS platforms
- Ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on capacities
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate professional, conversational proficiency in Spanish for business communications, including the ability to conduct business conversations, and participate in meetings and client interactions.
- Full proficiency in English across all communication modes: reading complex business documents
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR)
- Experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms
- Background in professional services, engineering, or inspection/certification environments
- Familiarity with labor laws and employment practices across the Americas
