Provide specialized speech-language pathology services focusing on teletherapy for students in grades K-12 within a regional day school program for the deaf. This full-time contract position supports DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) students through virtual platforms, requiring fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and an active Texas SLP license or DHHT certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver teletherapy sessions tailored to the communication needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized speech-language plans.
- Utilize ASL fluency to effectively communicate and engage with students.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting therapy methods as needed.
- Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and program guidelines.
Qualifications
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Therapy (DHHT).
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations preferred.
- Strong skills in telespeech and teletherapy service delivery.
- Ability to manage a caseload within a regional day school program setting.
