The role of the Warehouse & Shipping Clerk
Our warehouse & shipping clerk is responsible for an array of duties such as making sure orders are packaged and handled correctly, maintaining stock of shipping supplies, and processing orders through our shipping software.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Post and pick completed orders
- Assure orders are packaged and handled correctly
- Process orders through our shipping software – UPS WorldShip or FedEx Manager
- Make accurate and timely transactions in our ERP system (QAD)
- Monitor freight charges being imported, enter freight charges as needed, and mark orders as shipped
- Stage processed orders for daily pickup
- Interact with drivers
- Keep storage area neat, clean, and free of debris
- Act as a backup to the specific functions within the Inventory Department
- Interactive with Customer Service and monitor daily priorities
- Maintain proper stock of shipping supplies
Qualifications
What experience you have had:
- High School Degree/GED required
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs with a pallet jack; physically lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, stoop, and bend for any length of time
- Priority warehouse experience preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Fork truck license desired
- Team player
- Strong attention to detail and focused on quality of work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Learns and adapts with the organization.

- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
