What You Get To Do
The task of Logistic Operations Engineer (LOE) Manager is to make sure that work is planned with the focus on the business objectives and delivery of strategic solutions. The LOE Manager is also the point of contact for Hotline on route cause analysis for all P1/P2/P3 issues. The LOE Manager provides data capture around KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) that feeds into the daily/monthly reviews and handles all matters related to logistic operations and its machinery processes such as incident, problem and change management.
Having a combination of supervisory, technical, training, and administrative responsibilities, the LOE Manager will partner with Knapp customers finetuning business operations and interact with Knapp Service Desk (HQ) utilizing computer systems, software, physical technology (machinery) and Knapp engineers and end users establishing best practices to increase stability and efficiency.
Increase stability
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on all P1/P2 issues providing detailed reports around incidents in liaison with Hotline (measured based on fault repeating)
- Work closely with the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Continuously analyze and improve the operational process (measured based on throughput)
- Lead and supervise troubleshooting procedures such as:
- Incident Management (measured based on time spent to resolve incidents, Service level agreement (SLA))
- Problem Management (measured based on time spent to complete development cycle)
- Change Management (measured based on percentage of successfully executed Change Requests (CR))
- Identify operational priorities by assessing operational objectives (measured based on uptime) using:
- Continuous Improvement Process (measured based on ITIL compliance, Analytics Dashboard)
- Plan and coordinate the shift LOE’s tasks and workload accordingly (measured based on LOE demand)
Increase efficiency
- Develop operational solutions by defining, studying, estimating, and screening alternative solutions (control room) using:
- Continuous Improvement Process
- KPI (incidents, downtime, LOE demand, PMT) capture for Daily review and monthly service meeting
- Monitoring performance (measure = Logistic Dashboard)
Establish “Best practices
- Improve operational quality results by studying, evaluating, and recommending process redesign:
- Supervision of Implementing changes
- Change Management
- Contribute with information and advice unit design and modification teams using: Continuous Improvement Process
What You Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Logistics (preferred) or related field, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain management
- 3-5 years’ related experience in warehousing, high volume manufacturing, distribution, production planning and/or transportation environment
- Knowledge of WMS, WCS and SRC
- Working Knowledge of Linux, Java, Oracle, and SQL
- Bilingual (English / German) preferred
- Background and demonstrated experience in engineering industry
- Operational experience in automated distribution facility
- Strong skills in report development
- ITIL Foundation
