Primex is seeking a Technical Writer with a strong software documentation background to support its OneVue® SaaS platform and related environmental monitoring and synchronized time solutions. This role will be responsible for creating, migrating, structuring, and maintaining high-quality technical content across software, hardware, and services. The ideal candidate brings experience documenting SaaS platforms, working with virtual assistants, translating complex technical concepts into clear user-facing content, and working within modern content management systems.
This position plays a critical role in improving customer adoption, usability, and support efficiency across Primex’s primary environmental monitoring and time synchronization offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Ownership
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve technical documentation for the OneVue SaaS platform, including user guides, feature documentation, workflows, FAQs, and release-related content.
Author documentation for new hardware products and related services, including installation guides, configuration steps, and operational best practices.
Create and standardize content that supports regulated and semi-regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, laboratories, life sciences).
Knowledge Base Migration & CMS Management
Lead the conversion and restructuring of existing Zendesk knowledge base articles into a new content management system (CMS).
Ensure migrated content is accurate, well-structured, searchable, and aligned with Primex documentation standards.
Establish content templates, taxonomy, and style guidelines to ensure consistency across platforms and products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Customer Support, and Professional Services to gather technical information and validate documentation accuracy.
Participate in product development cycles to document new features, platform enhancements, and hardware/service launches.
Act as a documentation advocate, identifying gaps in content and proactively recommending improvements.
Process & Quality Improvement
Implement documentation best practices for SaaS environments, including modular content, reuse strategies, and version control.
Maintain documentation aligned with product releases and roadmap changes.
Support customer experience goals by reducing support escalations through clearer, more intuitive documentation.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, with a strong emphasis on software or SaaS platforms.
Proven experience migrating content between knowledge bases or CMS platforms.
Demonstrated ability to document complex technical systems for diverse audiences, from end users to technical administrators.
Experience working with structured content, templates, and style guides.
Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience documenting IoT, environmental monitoring, healthcare technology, or regulated systems.
Familiarity with SaaS architectures, cloud-based platforms, APIs, and system integrations.
Experience documenting hardware products, including installation and configuration content.
Experience in working with virtual assistants.
Knowledge of content tools such as Zendesk, MadCap Flare, Confluence, Salesforce Knowledge, or similar CMS platforms.
Understanding of compliance-driven environments (e.g., FDA, ISO, CFR Part 11) is a plus.
