Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: Austin, TX
Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing TX State Pharmacist License
Education: Pharm. D.
Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience in a retail setting
Setting: Closed Door Pharmacy
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 DOE
Background/ Drug Requirements: Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen.
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of prescription dispensing in a closed door pharmacy setting
• Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness
• Counsel patients via phone or telehealth platforms regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription issues and optimize patient therapy
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records in the pharmacy management system
• Conduct medication therapy management and perform clinical interventions as needed
• Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues efficiently
• Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of medications
• Participate in quality assurance programs and maintain patient safety standards
• Stay current with new medications, therapeutic guidelines, and industry best practices
