Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers. This role supports the sales team by building a pipeline of leads through outbound outreach and strategic engagement. The BDR works closely with the Sr. Account Executive to ensure alignment with sales objectives and market strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential clients and target markets.
- Initiate outbound communication via phone, email, and social platforms to generate interest.
- Qualify leads and schedule introductory meetings for the sales team.
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and lead status in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns and improve lead conversion.
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to lead generation and engagement.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and company offerings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Goal-oriented with a proactive and persistent approach to outreach.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work onsite in a professional office setting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Occasional lifting of office materials or equipment (up to 20 lbs).
- May require occasional travel for meetings or events.
