Description
Supports the company's vision and mission statement as indicated in the employee manual and participate in the company's continuous improvement program (LEAN).
Works collaboratively with Directors in Santa Maria who have personnel at the Springboro facility to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facility as a whole.
Ensures that all products are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.
Practices continuous improvement of operational systems, processes and best practices that foster organizational well-being.
Contributes to the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
Champions employee ownership by teaching Open Book Management.
Coordinates activities of departments to maximize service, conformance to quality requirements, and efficiency.
Develops policies, initiatives, and operations changes to be implemented within the manufacturing group.
Develops manufacturing/facility capital budget and requests and provides justification for financial analysis.
Participates in annual strategic planning meeting and quarterly updates.
Plans, develops, and implements new projects. Manages large projects as required. Supports new product development in terms of raw material procurement, pilots, process and equipment development.
Understands and experienced with P&L statements and ability to act upon them. Contributes to cost savings opportunities.
Conducts daily and/or weekly operational meetings with teams to discuss manufacturing schedule, non-conforming product, process changes, personnel, and other departmental and company information.
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, and conformance to procedures and specifications.
Participates in CNP process, investigating and presenting findings in weekly meeting for all Ohio NC runs.
Initiates and responds to CAPA’s as required. Develops and follow-up on preventative measures.
Initiates and responds to quality management change requests and plans.
Evaluates all assigned employees performances by conducting bi-annual reviews with each employee.
Helps develop new products and processes while making continuous improvements to those already in place.
Acts a liaison between departments to ensure steady and constant flow of finished product and raw materials.
Assists With Various Audits
- FDA audits
- Internal audits
- Customer on-site audits
- Supplier audits
Ensures the maintenance department addresses all equipment/facility issues in a timely manner and per SOP.
Audits direct reports’ timecards weekly. Responsible for reviewing time off requests.
