Position Summary:
The Head of Architecture and AI will lead the enterprise architectural vision and accelerate the adoption of AI, machine learning, and automation across Inovalon’s product portfolio. This leader will define the architectural roadmap, guide modernization efforts, establish AI governance, and partner with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovation-driven solutions.
This role is central to shaping the future of Inovalon’s technology platform, ensuring alignment with business strategy, client needs, and healthcare industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Own and evolve the enterprise architecture strategy across cloud, application, data, and integration domains.
- Lead modernization initiatives including cloud-native design, API strategy, microservices, and platform scalability.
- Establish architectural guardrails, patterns, and reference designs to ensure consistency and technical excellence.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure alignment on architectural decisions and technology investments.
AI & Machine Learning Strategy
- Define and execute Inovalon’s enterprise AI roadmap, including generative AI, predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Lead the design and deployment of AI solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Establish standards for AI model development, validation, monitoring, governance, and responsible AI practices.
- Partner with product teams to identify high-value AI opportunities across payer, provider, pharmacy, and life sciences markets.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Guide cross-functional teams through architectural decisions and implementation strategies.
- Drive platform performance, security, scalability, and resilience.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and determine strategic fit for Inovalon’s long-term roadmap.
- Build strong partnerships with cloud providers, AI technology vendors, and strategic partners.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of architects and AI specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Compliance teams.
Qualifications Required:
- 18 + years of experience in software architecture, enterprise architecture, or advanced technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading AI/ML initiatives in a cloud-based environment.
- Deep expertise in cloud architectures (Azure/AWS), microservices, API frameworks, and data platforms.
- Demonstrated success building scalable, high-performance enterprise systems.
- Experience managing cross-functional engineering or architecture teams.
