Analyst I - Novi, MI
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Entry level analyst position in a fast-paced industrial hygiene laboratory. The analyst is responsible for the set-up of client samples for analysis, the preparation of samples using organic solvents or concentrated acids, and general laboratory housekeeping. Once this goal is accomplished, the analyst will learn how to interpret X-ray diffraction diffractogram data and how to report sample results. Organization and time management are very important qualities for this role.
This is a full-time position. Weekend and evening overtime may be required to meet client demands, due to a turnaround time deadline.
REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree with a science focus is required.
Must be comfortable working with chemicals. Familiarity/experience with basic laboratory equipment (pipettes, balances, funnel apparatuses, and fume hoods) is necessary.
Attention to detail and patience with repetitive work is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is expected.
