This opportunity is for special education teachers serving students from Pre-K through age 22 in a K-12 setting located in Burbank, Illinois. Multiple positions are available to support diverse grades within special education classrooms under a contract for the current school year.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators to create inclusive learning environments
- Develop and implement lesson plans that address academic, social, and behavioral goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports aligning with state and district requirements
- Support students transition services and life skills development as appropriate for age group
Qualifications
- Valid, registered Illinois LBS I (Learning Behavior Specialist I) or Professional Educator License with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working within special education settings across multiple grade levels (Pre-K through 22) preferred
- Strong knowledge of individualized instruction strategies and classroom management for diverse learners
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments
