A K-12 special education position is open for a dedicated teacher to provide both push-in and pull-out services to approximately 27 students in a resource inclusion classroom serving Grades 3-7 in Kyle, TX. This full academic school year contract runs Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities include creating and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), with an emphasis on writing Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) statements. Strong experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is essential to ensure meaningful participation and collaboration with the educational team, students, and families.
Key Qualifications
- Texas Department of Education Special Education licensure
- Core Subjects 3-7 endorsements required
- Proven experience in ARD meetings and IEP development
- Ability to deliver tailored push-in and pull-out instructional support for diverse learners
