An educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher experienced in Structured Learning Classrooms (SLC) to support K-12 students in the Converse, TX area, just outside San Antonio. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and involves working with both intermediate and elementary caseloads within a structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction and adapt curriculum to meet the unique needs of students in a Structured Learning Classroom
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance
- Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and development
Qualifications
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with Structured Learning Classrooms is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of K-12 special education practices and laws
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload, including intermediate and elementary students
