A dedicated Social Worker is needed to support students at elementary schools in Los Alamos, NM. This full-time contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to work directly with students in grades PK through 6, focusing on improving their social skills and addressing behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide social work services to students at Barranca and Aspen Elementary Schools.
- Assess and address behavioral and social skills needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop intervention plans.
- Support students in overcoming social, emotional, and behavioral barriers to learning.
- Maintain detailed records and reports as required by school and state guidelines.
Qualifications
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New Mexico.
- Credential approved by the Public Education Department (PED).
- Experience working with children, specifically addressing behaviors and social skill development.
- Ability to work in-person at assigned school sites (no virtual/hybrid option).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
