A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in school nursing to support an elementary school setting in Jersey City, NJ. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments and screenings for students
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to address student health concerns
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school health policies
- Promote a healthy school environment through education and preventive care initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with school nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues and school health requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and educators
- Ability to manage multiple health cases and prioritize care efficiently
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
