What You Get To Do
The Purchasing Coordinator – Spare Parts is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate procurement of replenishment inventory and miscellaneous spare parts for North America. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational efficiency by managing purchase orders, tracking shipments and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement of replenishment inventory and spare parts for North America.
- Accurately schedule and monitor delivery dates for purchase orders.
- Handle expedited requests from spare parts managers.
- Track and reconcile third-party and intercompany purchase orders to ensure full receipt.
- Recommend optimal spare parts stock levels based on demand and usage.
- Maintain and update master data for parts within SAP.
- Collaborate with purchasing, shipping, and manufacturing teams to confirm delivery timelines.
- Monitor and report shipment issues, including damages or part number discrepancies.
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving for material repairs and credits.
- Liaise with production, sales, customer service, and quality assurance teams to support business needs.
- Perform additional duties as requested or assigned.
What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain or related field, preferred
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience (automation industry preferred)
- SAP ERP experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Overtime, as required
