A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide teletherapy services within an elementary setting serving students from kindergarten through sixth grade, including some preschool and transitional preschoolers. This position requires delivering specialized support for speech and language development across two elementary school sites in Van Nuys, CA, with a full-semester contract duration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide teletherapy speech-language services to K-6 students, as well as preschool and transitional preschool children.
- Manage caseload and maintain detailed records, including supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
- Collaborate with existing SLPs at two school locations.
- Utilize a speech-only room designed for therapy sessions.
- Ensure compliance with live scan fingerprinting requirements and maintain licensure by residing in California.
- Demonstrate strong online presence skills for effective teletherapy delivery and communication.
Qualifications
- Valid VOCO CA SLP-CCC certification.
- Experience working with K-6 students and preschool populations.
- Proficiency in teletherapy and telespeech methods.
- Ability to supervise SLPAs effectively.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
- Must live in California and complete live scan fingerprinting.
Two elementary school sites will be served, with three days spent at one location and two days at the other. Both sites currently have established SLPs on staff, providing collaborative opportunities.
