Pharmacy Technician- Full Time - APO Pharmacy - Springfield, MO
Maxor National Pharmacy Services is looking for a compassionate, customer service oriented Pharmacy Technician to work full time in our Maxor managed pharmacy at APO Pharmacy, a community healthcare center in-house, clinic based retail pharmacy. In this integrated model, the Maxor pharmacy team will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients. Maxor National Pharmacy Services, headquartered in Amarillo, TX, will manage the pharmacy, including personnel.

About APO
APO is a private not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide health services and education to the community with an emphasis on under-served and marginalized populations including, but not limited to, persons living with or at risk for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI). Services are provided in a confidential, caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services.
- Greet customers and take prescription orders
- Convey empathy and understanding when handling customer service issues.
- Operate the cash register by ringing up sales for customers
- Assist in keeping the pharmacy clean and the shelves stocked
- Answer the phone
- Input customer information into the computer system
Qualifications
- Active pharmacy technician license in the State of MO
- Current PTCB Certification, or ability to obtain your certification within 6 months (Maxor will assist)
- A minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience
- Proven track record of exemplary customer service
- Computer experience mandatory
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care
- Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently
