Job Summary And Qualifications
The Customer Support Specialist is a dedicated escalation resource to high-level Mercy Supply Chain leaders and will handle requests in an urgent manner in order to ensure patient care is not affected. The CS Specialist must be a critical thinker who can think outside of the box to resolve stressful situations while maintaining composure, prioritizing needs and interacting with a variety of different personalities. The CS Specialist must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and speak professionally to high level leaders.
What you will do in this role:
- Provides front line support working escalation requests from designated high-level Mercy Supply Chain leaders and staff to ensure patient care is not compromised.
- Provides direct support regarding supply chain issues working with ROI teams such as Purchasing, CSC Inventory Management, CSC Operations, Transportation and local supply chain to minimize any delays with patient care item on behalf of the Mercy Supply Chain leader.
- Provides immediate purchase order management with vendors including urgent purchase order processing, tracking, expediting and other maintenance to ensure timely delivery of product along with prompt and detailed communication regarding the order.
- Coordinates the procurement of alternative items when the CSC or vendor direct orders are on backorder or discontinued to prevent stock out issues for the Mercy Supply Chain leader.
- Assists the Mercy Supply Chain leader with escalated questions regarding Returns Goods forms, returns, recalls by working with the Product Claims/Returns team when requested.
What you should have for this role:
- High School Diploma Required
- 3+ years of experience in a Customer Service role Required
- 3+ years of experience in Healthcare Supply Chain or Equivalent Preferred
