Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Software Development Engineer in Test Intern to join our growing Quality Engineering team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing UI, API test automation solutions and powered AI tools. You will also look to collaborate with team members in an agile environment, gaining hands-on and industry experience in Quality Engineering platform and tooling.
The ideal candidate will have strong Java skills, hands-on experience in building and implementing Front End and Backend test automations, and a deep understating of AI powered tools for upgrading different automation frameworks.
This is a 10-week program beginning June 18, 2025, and ending August 27, 2025. This will be a part-time (up to 29 hours/week maximum) with the potential to go full-time in the future role.
What does the position pay?
The hourly compensation for this role is $20.00 for undergraduate students and $21.00 for graduate students.
What will you do?
- Participate as a member of Quality Engineering team and contribute to development of UI and API frameworks and test scenarios.
- Build tools and enhance automation frameworks for scalability and reliability.
- Evaluate AI powered tools for integration into existing automation frameworks.
This is an onsite position at our office in San Diego, CA.
What education and experience do you need?
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in building and implementing Front End and Backend test automation.
- Is proficient in scripting and programming language such as: Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy or additional object-oriented languages.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Displays analytical mindset and can collaborate well in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and demonstrates expert problem-solving skills.
