Job Description Summary
The Financial Analyst, Pricing supports revenue management and pricing strategy efforts through management of deal pricing, product financial analysis, strategy development, and pricing performance analysis. This role will work closely with stakeholder leadership on special projects and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to drive improved business performance. The ideal candidate must be equally as effective working collaboratively with Inmar executives as they are working independently to analyze business data, develop insights, and help solve strategic business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Pricing
Closely collaborate with Sales, Business Unit Leadership, and Product organizations to develop deal pricing strategy for new client opportunities, key renewals, and RFPs
Structure, streamline, and implement deal approval processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of deal reviews
Ensure compliance with deal approval processes
Pricing Strategy Analysis & Support
Develop pricing strategy for new product launches and revise strategies for existing products to enable profitable growth of product lines
Assist in developing and updating pricing policies, processes, and procedures
Develop and revise standard rate cards
Develop pricing calculators to assist sales teams in generating quotes
Perform financial impact modeling to support pricing strategy recommendations
Create processes for establishing new product pricing and for deal governance
Support updates to the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) system to enable effective and efficient implementation of pricing strategy and deal governance processes
Prepare reporting, dashboards, and proforma calculation tools to assist with renewals and RFPs
Conduct data gathering and analysis using external and internal sources to support pricing strategy decisions, solve complex problems, and facilitate executive decision-making
Reporting and Analysis
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of Inmar's lines of business to identify revenue and profit drivers, providing recommendations to increase revenue and expand client contract value
Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting of pricing performance for sales and finance leadership
Minimum Requirements
BS or BA degree required, preferably in business management or a quantitative degree such as economics, finance, or mathematics.
At least 2 years of experience, including as a financial or business analyst in a corporate setting. Pricing experience is a plus
Understanding of finance and accounting principles, including familiarity with financial statements, financial projections, and core accounting principles
Experience building Excel models for pricing strategy or financial projections
Advanced Excel skills, in addition to high-level proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word and PowerPoint)
Proficient with Google Workspace
Critical-thinking and fact-based problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact confidently with leadership
Motivated self-starter; able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must have interpersonal and negotiating skills to work in a collaborative, team environment
Ability to generate consensus, manage conflicts appropriately, and take an unpopular stand when necessary
