Job Summary
Ships out finished products to customers on a timely basis. Coordinates and controls stock areas and shipping docks.
Essential Duties
- Reviews "Future Ships" to ensure all orders are processed on a timely basis.
- Coordinates "Credit Checks" issues with the Office Manager.
- Stocks shelving as needed.
- Training/Certification of Reach Truck is mandatory, along with other lifts, pallet jacks, and possibly fork truck may be necessary.
- Operates UPS scales.
- Ships out finished product on a timely and daily basis.
- Enters data into Process Shipper and the UPS Scanner.
- Prepares orders for shipment.
- Continuously picks finished product to fill customer orders and puts away stock.
- Moves completed pallets from plant areas to staging areas as needed. This includes moving pallets from staging areas to trailers as needed.
- Insures Priority Ship lists are responded to.
- Able to process Freight Orders.
- Makes sure to stretch wrap all outgoing product.
- Confidently loads and unloads trailers.
- Must be willing/able to work overtime as needed in order to fill customer orders.
- Responsible for keeping area clean and in neatly order.
- Constructively communicates with Customer Service on order statuses.
- Continuously shows respect to all co-workers, Lead, and Supervisor.
- Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner. Teamwork is a must.
- Reports any non-conformance to Supervision.
- Requires basic math skills.
- Must be able to properly use/understand Radius.
- Be able/willing to communicate through the appropriate channels.
- Checks and responds to emails every hour to ensure all products are getting shipped.
- Training on the proper use of handhelds and movements of product will be required.
- Any other duties determined by management
- Attendance on-site required
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Education and Experience: High school education or a GED is required. Must be able to perform all essential duties.
Language skills: Must be willing and able to communicate effectively.
Certificates and Registrations: Certification on fork trucks and pallet jacks are required.
Other: Must be able to use a calculator and understand concepts of basic math. Must be familiar with basic small tools, including pallet jacks, and fork trucks. Computer experience may be required.
Required training documents: Fork Truck, Reach Truck, and Electric Pallet Jack Certifications are required.
Physical demands
- Must be able to push, pull, kneel, reach, sit, hear, walk and see.
- Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours at the time.
- Must be able to see fine detailing in finish product.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a random basis.
Work environment
- Employees may feel vibration from machinery. Noise levels are required PPE levels on machinery, ear plugs or earmuffs required. No other negatives noted.
