Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for all financial, operational, and quality deliverables of the business.
- Responsible for management of all site personnel including regular reviewing and overseeing operational departments.
- Work in conjunction with the President to deliver exceptional service to all external and internal stakeholders.
- Regularly review and approve financial reports, forecasts, deviation reports, and capex expenditures.
- Serve as a focal point to the industry in presenting and representing Eurofins Discovery
- Work closely with sales to develop crisp coordination between sales and operations.
- Provide strategic and scientific leadership for Eurofins Discovery business development and support of new business opportunities including internal innovation & external business development.
- Serve as scientific and technical support to scientists and technicians for the areas of drug discovery & pharmacology.
- Provide leadership for efforts to implement global policies, procedures and infrastructure to ensure best in class service to Eurofins Discovery clients.
- Promote Eurofins Discovery by serving as a leadership role in external professional organizations, as appropriate.
- Create and maintain consistent global best practices, KPIs, and other essential metrics.
- Assist in long-term planning and service diversification; including evaluation of potential licensing and out-sourcing opportunities.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field and at least 10 years’ related experience. MS degree in biological sciences or PhD is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Ability to manage technical and operational staff
- Develop staff through professional development plans and activities
Ability And/or Skills
- Proven track record of managing laboratory operations
- Ability to build a cohesive team comprised of staff with a variety backgrounds.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to public groups and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to apply principle s of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
- Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to positively interface with a client , regulatory and internal company base.
